Hello hello hello! Suuuuper long time no see!

It's been what, like 2 months?? I can't believe how time flies! So much has been going on!

So I'm not really sure where to start but I suppose I can start with a quick summary of what's been happening in my life. It's been a rollercoaster ride of emotion! I met the most wonderful boy in late February and had so many new experiences - first date, first kiss, dare I say first love - and that wonderful boy ended up breaking my heart when I wasn't expecting it. Since then, I've been trying to get over mono (thanks, last kiss, for that one smh) and have encountered a lot of trouble at work because of it. The past 3 weeks in particular have been an absolute mess of problems that I'm hoping can be wrapped up soon.

Right now, I'm looking to start a full-time job in a business setting (have my own desk in an office, etc etc) and hopefully it'll be just like The Office and everything will be perfect and I'll meet my Jim Halpert and live happily ever after xD

But speaking seriously, it's a huge transition for me right now. I might be moving in with my grandparents and kinda getting a start on my life so change is on the horizon!! And I'm planning a 5 day road trip to Georgia with my best friend at the end of this month!

Apart from all of that, obviously I haven't posted ANYTHING in so long and that's because I really haven't drawn since February. Life got in the way I guess I have done little sketches here and there but I can't justify posting them here. Nowadays I'm more active on Instagram and Snapchat than anything else.

So if you want to follow me, my username for both is vaalkaaren (don't be scared off by the private account on instagram; it's just because I have my account linked to other places). But I would love to add people on Snapchat so pleaseeee add me there! I probably won't send snaps unless I know you and/or you send me stuff but I've really come to love it and want to use it more I post sketches and stupid stuff about my life on my story!

I think that pretty much sums up everything..? I miss so much everyone I've formed friendships with here, but with everything else demanding my attention, I find it so hard to fully come back. Should I get back into drawing more, I'll definitely be back, but until then I guess I'm kinda stuck where I'm at .-. I hope everyone has been doing well and is having a great day!! I miss you all

It's amazing to me how much can change in a week. How you can go so quickly from your normal routine of work, homework, and hobbies, to being so absorbed in someone else that literally nothing else matters. Where a week ago the thought of being interested in someone was entirely unappealing, but all it took was a Skype call and you're falling head over heels. And to know the feelings are mutual. 

I genuinely can't believe it.

Hey all!

I mentioned in my New Year update that I was preparing some new content to share. I developed several ideas with some of my friends and am excited to share the first of them with you! It's nothing completely new but the way I'll be going about it will be basically brand new.

So without further ado, I'd like to formally share my streaming channels with you!

In the past, I've only streamed very occasionally and didn't do a ton with it, but my sister and I have worked to come up with ways to make streams fun and enjoyable for not only us, but you as well! 

What does this mean for your art streams?

     Story-sketches!
     Raffles!

My art streams are, of course, streams of me drawing, listening to music, and chatting. However, I've recently begun doing open-mic streams and will include webcams as well when possible! Some other "features" I'm really excited about are doing crazy little story-sketches for the last 5-10 minutes of the stream (with the help of the viewers!), and will set viewer amounts for each stream that when reached, will result in a raffle for everyone who showed up, with the prize being some art for the winner(s)! 

What does this mean for your gaming streams?

My gaming streams will be pretty much what you would expect, but my goal is to be really interactive with everyone and see where the channel goes. The channel will feature solo games as well as co-ops with family and friends! It will be somewhat limited for the time being but if it seems to do well, I will definitely expand it! Some ideas for this channel are currently being thought out and it will be fun to see how it all plays out!

But why?

I have some other content in mind but in order for it to do well, I need to start here. I obviously can't say how it will turn out, but I'm eager to see! 


In all honesty, it's all a little daunting, because I'm nervous it won't go as I hope, but I guess you lose nothing by trying! I'll be making banners and such to spruce up my streams in the meantime and can't wait to start this! As always, thank you all for your support and I wish everyone all the best
